This workshop is for students who have moved away from home for university.
Aims:
To respond to the needs of students who are experiencing homesickness
To provide a safe space that allows for learning, understanding and personal development
To support students to develop coping mechanisms and practical strategies to manage and optimise their well-being whilst navigating university

- · Coping mechanisms and self-care
Session attendees will:
- Understand what causes homesickness
- Learn practical tools to cope with homesickness at university
- Develop strategies and create a well-being plan to deal with homesickness
This is a 1.5 hour interactive session led by Qualified Mental Health Practitioners, including group activities, individual reflection activities and guided meditation.
