PC Lee Cook and PC Gaynor Martin are both part of the University’s liaison team.
Both of them are warranted police officers, who are dedicated to crime prevention as well as assisting any student who has been the victim of crime.
They both sit under the Sussex Police Youth safety intervention team which is based at Lewes which means they can be found at any of our five campuses reaching from Hastings to Eastbourne all the way to Brighton.
The role of the officers is so much more than just looking after the neighbourhoods surrounding the university campuses. They are also responsible for your safety as students, staff and visitors. Their role allows them to create relationships within the student community and helps them to assist with any university based enquiries.
Both of them will be more than happy to provide students with advice and assurance about any concern you may have.
They will both be doing work with the Students’ Union and be involved in our new ‘Student Safety’ campaign involving ‘Safebody, Safemind’.
