The Vacancy
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Manager to head up our Marketing and Communications team who are based on the Falmer campus. 

The Marketing and Communications team are responsible for ensuring that engaging and timely information is sent to and from the students across physical and online channels – including marketing, commercial and membership activities.

The Role
The role will be responsible for delivering high quality and impactful marketing and communications across all physical sites and online channels, to increase student awareness and engagement with Brighton Students’ Union services and activities. 

Experience and Knowledge
Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate their knowledge and experience of:- 

  • Devising and delivering an effective marketing plan.
  • Creating engaging and targeted communication campaigns for specific groups.
  • Leading on successful marketing campaigns, including planning, delivery and evaluation.
  • Using a variety of appropriate social media platforms for professional purposes.
  • Managing a small multi discipline team of staff and/or volunteers.

A good understanding and/or experience of working with under-represented groups and how this affects the work of the department is also important.

The Person
The successful candidate will need to be adaptable, creative, have exceptional organisational and project management skills, and the ability to create and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.  In addition to this, they must share and display the Union’s core values which are: Inclusive, Approachable, Dynamic, Supportive and Transparent.

The Hours
This role is being offered on a permanent full-time basis and will primarily be based at the Falmer Campus, with regular travel to other campus locations as required.  We are happy to consider hybrid of home & office working for the right applicant.
