Doug Gregg was named Rep of the Month for November.
Rep of the Month is awarded to Course or School Academic Reps who have improved the learning experience on their Course or in their School. Bethany Wren, our Vice President Academic Experience, described how Doug has earned the award:
In his role as School Academic Representative for Environment and Technology, Doug worked throughout the first term of the 2016-17 academic year to resolve issues with timetabling in his school. He first created a survey to identify specific issues before rationalising the data and putting a series of recommendations forward to senior staff via a comprehensive report. University staff were incredibly receptive to Doug’s recommendations and committed to rectifying the issues identified in the following months, a move with the potential to positively impact the learning experience of thousands of students.
Anyone can nominate a rep for a Rep of the Month award and we are currently seeking nominations for December. If you know a fantastic rep who deserves the award please nominate them here.
