British Sign Language Society

Welcome to the British Sign Language Society!

During our weekly BSL sessions which take place 7-8PM at Moulsecoomb campus, you will take part in learning new vocabulary for different topics. Through learning key vocabulary, we open ourselves to learning a new language and improve awareness of the deaf community. Sometimes we even learn new signs through song lyrics, particularly at Christmas time!

Don’t worry if you don’t feel confident about learning a new language, we are a society that welcomes those with no experience of BSL or those with greater knowledge.

Beyond our weekly sessions we are planning to do monthly social events, host guest speaker events from the deaf community and collaborations with other societies.

Please feel free to buy membership, come along to our next meetup or support us on Instagram and Facebook. The more members who join, the more fun the society will get! So come along, bring your friends and have some fun!

 

Committee

Our committee has been elected by the members of the society, to organise the running of the society. If you would like to be a committee member next year, look out for information about how to stand in February!
