Hockey - Men's

Brighton University Men's Hockey

The University has a single Men's Hockey Team which competes in BUCS tournaments and leagues.

Training takes place over at Saffrons Hockey Pitch, Eastbourne on a Monday Night, Students from all Campuses and all abilities travel to come and train.  Matches are then played on a Wednesday afternoon where travel is provided.  On Wednesday evenings socials are held at Brighton and Eastbourne Campuses which are a great way of meeting the team.

BUCS Bronze Membership covers all your travel costs to and from match games and training.  It also provides insurance if an injury were to happen whilst training or playing.

Match Kit is provided  with the optional addition of buying personalised sportswear at the start of the Season.

We welcome all abilities and encourage new-comers to give the sport a go.  Come down and for a taster training session which you don't require a membership.

Click here to open our Sports Clubs first session guide. This will detail how to get involved in sports clubs at the University of Brighton. Some first sessions are trials and some are simply an open first session for you to give something a go.

You can take part in as many clubs as you like and can fit in. You only need to buy one membership which should be for the club that  requires the highest category membership. So if you do both a Bronze BUCS and Bronze Off-Site club then you just need a Bronze BUCS card. You only need to buy a membership if you are taking part in a BUCS fixture or you plan to continue to attend after the 31st October (whichever comes first). This gives you a great opportunity to try before you buy. Contact Sport Brighton if you have any questions.
