Rugby Union - Men's

University of Brighton Men's Rugby

Training

We have weekly training alternating between Brighton and Eastbourne as well as campus specfic fitness sessions.

Matchdays

Our fixtures are held each Wednesday, more information about these fixtures can be found below (click on the'2' tab of the first table to see the men's first team league) , and details will be posted on our Facebook groups closer to the start of the season.

Social

Whislt we play competetive university rugby throughout the year, we feel it is important not to forget the real spirit of university life. Our club is all about meeting new people and having a great time as well as playing rugby to the best of your ability. It is a firm belief in the club that the closer you are off the pitch, the better team you will become on it. Both campuses hold socials each and every Wednesday night.

Sponsors

Being one of the largest societies in Brighton certainly has it's perks. We have an abundance of deals with different clubs, pubs and restauraunts across the city that offer us great deals every day of the week.

Charity

Our club holds various chairty events throughout the year, working closely with the Brighton Homeless Charity and Marie Curie. Last year we had several individuals running the Brighton Half Marathon in aid of Rosemere Bud and McMillan, and we aim to continue their good work this year by entering more members of the club into this fantastic fund-raising opportunity. We also carried out a landscaping project at the Moulsecoomb Community centre.

Click here to open our Sports Clubs first session guide. This will detail how to get involved in sports clubs at the University of Brighton. Some first sessions are trials and some are simply an open first session for you to give something a go.

You can take part in as many clubs as you like and can fit in. You only need to buy one membership which should be for the club that  requires the highest category membership. So if you do both a Bronze BUCS and Bronze Off-Site club then you just need a Bronze BUCS card. You only need to buy a membership if you are taking part in a BUCS fixture or you plan to continue to attend after the 31st October (whichever comes first). This gives you a great opportunity to try before you buy. Contact Sport Brighton if you have any questions.
