BSU Education Campaign

In October Brighton SU presented it’s Student Experience Report to the first University Education & Student Experience Committee (UESEC) of the year. This report is based on feedback that the Students’ Union has collected over the last academic year from various sources including the National Student Survey, Brighton Student Survey, Course Rep feedback, the Students’ Union Question of the Month research as well as NUS (National Union of Students) nationally conducted research. In the report the Union made 7 key recommendations to the University, which now form our Education Campaign. The University have agreed to respond to each recommendation to outline how they plan to tackle each of the issues we raise.

EXPECT RESPECT

We want to promote an inclusive, safe and respectful University experience for all students, on all campuses. We are asking our students to sign our pledge and abide by our Students’ Union values to be braverespectful and inclusive:

1. Brave

We will challenge negative behaviour to promote a positive environment for all.

2. Respectful

We will respect consent and boundaries of our peers, staff and visitors.

3. Inclusive

We will create a welcoming environment for all students to access our sports teams and societies.

All students should expect respect and not support bullying or harassment of any form, including that of a sexual nature.
