HOW TO STAND IN A STUDENTS' UNION RUN ELECTION

Standing in an election is an excellent way of getting involved in deciding how your Students' Union is run. Current elections are always run on the elections section of our website, found at brightonsu.com/elections

On the elections landing page, there will always be a link to where you can stand, as seen below.

After clicking the link, you will be taken to a screen that prompts you to input your details, in order for you to stand.

You will then be able to view and stand for all positions you are eligible for. For example, if you are studying an Architecture course, you will be able to stand in School of Architecture related positions, however you won't be eligible to stand for a position that comes under a different university department.

Click 'Stand' from the 'Action' panel under the position you wish to stand for, and then select 'Submit' from the following screen. You will then be taken through to a screen that contains the notification, "Your nomination is pending approval".

When approved as pictured below, students will then be able to vote for you.
