The role will be responsible for creating and developing high quality design work to effectively promote BSU membership and commercial activities to its members for use across all media platforms including digital and print.
The work can fluctuate in demand throughout the year, so the successful candidate will also be expected to perform additional generalist communications tasks to assist other colleagues as work load allows, such as social media and website content.
Experience and Knowledge
Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate their knowledge and experience of:-
- Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
- Producing high quality design work across digital and print communication platforms.
- An awareness of new and current trends in the industry.
- Researching and preparing materials in support of new design concepts.
- Relevant qualification at degree level and/or extensive related experience.
The ability to generate positive outcomes through partnership working is also important.
The successful candidate will need to have excellent IT and organisational skills and the ability to converse with a diverse audience through different media channels. In addition to this, they must share and display the Union’s core values which are: Inclusive, Approachable, Dynamic, Supportive and Transparent.
This role is being offered on a permanent full time basis and will primarily be based at the Falmer Campus, with regular travel to other campus locations as required. We are happy to consider hybrid of home & office working for the right applicant.
