As a passionate gamer and regular member of the e-sports society, I will be running for presidency. Since joining the committee last year, I have learnt a lot about what it takes to run a society and the hardwork and dedication it requires. My vision for the society going forward is to create a safe, fun and inclusive space for all types of gamers and students alike, where everybody can find happiness in sharing their experiences of gaming. I want to lead the society further into fun and new games experiences as well as maintaining the current friendly environment. As president, I would hope to work alongside the rest of the committee in an organised and exciting environment to bring the best experiences to our members.
During my time on the current committee, I have helped to implement a number of things into the society. This includes an entire overhaul of the discord and an entirely new server where our members interact, a Minecraft server, regular socials both online and in person, including at an arcade pub and laser tag, helped with organisation tasks to do with varsity, our twitch channel and other social media, and much more. Given these examples, I feel well-equipped to become the president of the society and if this becomes a reality, I hope to do the society proud. Thank you :D
