Nurses attending a patient in hospital

Statement from Brighton Students' Union on the calculation of Nursing placement hours:

We are aware of the issues affecting nursing students at the University of Brighton regarding the calculation of placement hours.

We are currently seeking answers from the university on their plans for supporting students and rectifying the problem. The university is holding meetings with students this week and early next week to discuss the situation further, and we will be there in attendance to listen to the university's response and monitor the situation. We encourage all affected students to attend these meetings, so they understand the situation better.

Additionally, we are organising a meeting with Course Reps from affected courses on Tuesday, 16th at 5pm to gather your opinions on the university's response and discuss how we can best support and represent you during this time.

We are committed to standing by you, advocating for your rights, and ensuring that you receive the assistance and resolution you rightfully deserve.
