Re|Freshers' Week Round Up!

Re|Freshers’ Week is over for another year!

Thanks to everyone who came along and got involved. We saw over 550 of you come to our Fairs (maybe just to enjoy the free doughnuts…). We’ve put together our highlights and some photos from the week.

Our societies hosted loads of welcome events and socials for new members, alongside attending our Society Re|Freshers’ Fair on Thursday. We had the Feminist Society, Musical Theatre Society, Law Society, LGBTQ+ Society, Music Society and even more attend!

A special thanks to Deliveroo and National Express who came through with the free Wagamamas and candyfloss on Thursday, and caused a big crowd to form in Cockcroft entrance! These guys know how to incentivise students with free food…

We were entertained by the Music Society who performed during the Fair, and the Musical Theatre Society headed up the other end of the hall.

Also, the Law Society held their own quiz on Thursday, and even some of their tutors came along to support! Thanks for sharing photos with us, guys.

The BSU deck chair also came out to make us wish summer would hurry up already! The Deliveroo team made the most of their day by enjoying some candyfloss and getting their deck chair photo.

On Friday we saw our sports teams and Sport Brighton come out to recruit new students. The energy was high as Boulder Brighton had their table challenge and table tennis was on the go!

And of course, Re|Freshers’ Week is about celebrating being back at uni and enjoying a bit of down time. The Asian Society hosted their own Desi night at Shoossh as part of their Re|Freshers’ Week welcome events!

Now as the new term gets going, and work starts mounting up. Remember to take a bit of time for self-care and there are support services available…
