CONGRATULATIONS to South East Asian Society (Brighton) for winning Society of the Month for April. Here's what they had to say about the event they ran that bagged them the award.

#1 What was the objective of your event?

To allow people from different backgrounds in the Asian community a chance to show case what their home country has to offer in terms of food !!

Along with allowing them to meet these people behind the "yummy" dishes and giving them more knowledge about the dishes.

#5 How did the attendees participate?

Cooking tradition food and snacks from their home country, giving people the opportunity to taste a bit of what South East Asian cuisine is like.

Getting involved with the meet and greet, through speed meeting (others might know it as speed dating style) to give people who would otherwise not speak to each other a chance to know everyone through timed conversations

#6 What did you learn?

Asian food is good

#7 How does your event benefit students?

It gave people a taste of some Asian dishes that they would most likely never try and to meet people who have similar interests to them.
