Here is what the committee had to say about the amazing fundraising event that bagged them the prize fund...
"We aimed to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK and the Evelina Children's Hospital by doing a raffle of a variety of prizes, a lucky dip, spin the wheel and pick a duck. These charities are very close to the society's heart and we managed to raise £175 for these charities! We have also managed to get a couple of new members from advertising this event which is a lovely bonus as we would like to do similar events again! Our lovely VP Social (social media officer) organised raffle prizes, designed the poster and the quizzes!
Students were able to communicate and spend time with each other outside of lectures. They were able to bring their children which they said was really nice! Students were also more informed about the charities we raised money for. Students said they had a really nice time playing the games and winning prizes. They also found out more the Student's Union which they said was very interesting".
