Compassion Fatigue Awareness
Monday 04 March 2019, 6pm - 7:30pm
Coming up in March is our talk on Compassion Fatigue – an important issue for all healthcare professionals! Caring for others in distress takes an emotional toll on healthcare providers, which can lead to reduced capacity for empathy for future patients. Join us in learning the signs and symptoms of compassion fatigue and how to actively and effectively manage it.
When: Monday, March 4th, 18:00 – 19:30
Where: Falmer Campus, Checkland Building, Room C218
UBSPS aims to promote professional development and integrate healthcare disciplines so our clinical talks are open to all healthcare society members. Please bring your membership cards for free entry to this event. Additionally, non-members can access the talk for a door fee of £1 per person.
Certificates of attendance are available for all UBSPS clinical talks – please register for a certificate at the event itself. These certificates are not CPD accredited but can be used in attendees’ portfolios.
About the speaker: Richard Carter is a paramedic with 15 years’ experience in both the NHS and the private sector. He is Director of Education and a certified Compassion Fatigue Professional at EF Training.
Hope to see you all there!
