CALLING ALL FIRST AID SOCIETIES
We are taking over St John Ambulance London & South Region HQ on 12th December 2019.
We are organising a huge scenario-based training excercise combining all West London LINKS University Units, and others around London & South region. This fantastic training night is open to all LINKS volunteers and first aid society members, and is a chance to put your first aid and radio skills to the test.
We will have casualties all around the three buildings at York Street and the radio control room, based in a real SJA control vehicle in the car-park, will allocate each team of first aiders to a patient, just like at one of the events we cover. You will then have to pass information about your casualty back to the control room and treat them. Your casualty/scenario assessor will help you and then score your team, plus give you some feedback after you have finished. We will do a few cycles of this and the three teams with the most points at the end will win a mystery prize! There will also be other prizes available throughout the night.
This is a fantastic opportunity to meet other first aid societies and their members, as well as experience what it is actually like to put all the theory you have learned over the past couple of months into action, in a friendly, supportive environment.
Here is the link for the event https://www.facebook.com/events/1181996028658883/, please click "going" if you're planning to go and let the committee members know so that transport can be arranged prior to this event!
