TELL ME MORE!
A FREE film showing of The Virgin Suicides, a film that raises awareness of mental health!
Brighton SU RAG (Raise & Give) are pleased to announce that we will be hosting a film showing on the Falmer Campus, on Tuesday 22nd May to fundraise money for Mind, the local Mental Health Charity.
"Based on Jeffrey Eugenides' novel, The Virgin Suicides depicts how depression affects the five Lisbon sisters, who form a tragic suicide pact due to their strict confinement enforced by their religious parents. The movie shows how the pressures of being a teenager going through puberty can affect you, and how outsiders can sometimes not realize what people are going through mentally."
The film showing is completely free to come and watch, but you are more than welcome to offer a donation as all profits will be donated to Mind. More information about what Mind do can be found here
If you would like to help volunteer for the film showing, please either email firstname.lastname@example.org or pop us a message on Facebook or Twitter; @BrightonSURAG
Thank you in advance for everyone's support!
