The Brighton Law Society and the Brighton Amnesty Society have invited Sara Birch to give a presentation on her work as a Caseworker at the London-based NGO Prisoners Abroad.
In addition to working as a Lecturer in Law at Brighton University, Sara also works part-time for the NGO Prisoners Abroad – an organisation that supports British citizens detained overseas and their families.
Prisoners Abroad works very closely with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to safeguard the welfare of British citizens detained abroad and to ensure that their human rights are protected whilst in detention.
More details of the work of Prisoners Abroad can be found at: www.prisonersabroad.org.uk
This talk is ideal for students at any stage of their degree and especially helpful for those that are thinking of going into Human Rights Law.
How to get involved:
- Message any of the Law Society for the Zoom link.
- Any questions about the event please get in contact with either of the Societies.
