Brighton Motorsport Team - Club Karting Championship

Do you have a passion for Motorsport? enter into Brighton University Motorsport Team's annual Club Karting Championship and find out who is the quickest student at the university... Could it be you?

The championship will consist of four rounds throughout the university year, each round you will get to race in two action packed 15 minute races. New to karting, or a professional racing driver, the championship is open to all with competition throughout the grid so don't be scared to come and have a go! 

The championship will take place on Wednesday evenings, all kit is provided, lifts to the circuit will be arranged. 

The calender for this year (All dates and venues are subject to change):

Round 1: Teamsport Brighton (Upstairs)     Date: 23/10/19

Round 2: Teamsport Crawley (Downstairs) Date: TBC (Provisionally 27/11/19)

Round 3: Teamsport Brighton                      Date: 19/02/2019

Round 4: Teamsport Crawley (Upstairs)      Date: TBC (Provisionally 18/03/19)

Once each round has finished we will head to the Gladstone Pub on Lewes Road for a post race social... We are students after all! A great chance to meet with other members of the club and make some new friends. 

All of this is available for the amazing price of £95. You won't find karting cheaper than that! Perform well and have the oppurtunity to represent your university at the British Universities Karting Championship! 

Spaces are limited so book quickly to avoid disappointment. Tickets are available on the Student Union Website. 

To race in the championship you must have a valid Bronze Off Site Sports fed card. These are available online from Sport Brighton and cost £5 (Covers insurance etc) If you already have a silver or gold sportsfed card then you don't need to purchase another. The link to order is:

This year we will be working in collaboration with the simulation society to run racing sessions on a full motion platform with VR, practice for karting events, and formula 1 esports! 

The practical stuff... We will car pool to the track, if you require a lift please meet us at the agrred time for each race at Cockcroft  main entrance. If you drive it would be greatly appreciated if you could provide lifts so please message the page and let us know.
