The Role
The role will primarily be responsible for providing confidential day to day support to the HR department, acting as first point of contact for all HR Database queries and making sure the office is legally compliant.
Experience and Knowledge
Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate their knowledge and experience of:-
- Working in a busy HR environment and facilitating different staffing groups
- Working with, maintaining and developing HR Databases
- Dealing with all aspects of meeting facilitation
- Liaising with internal and external partners
- Dealing with highly sensitive and confidential information
The individual must also have excellent IT skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Adobe, and other relevant software packages. They should also have an understanding of employment law and how GDPR affects the work of an HR department.
The Person
The successful candidate will need to be adaptable, have exceptional organisation skills with the ability to juggle a wide range of tasks. They should also have excellent interpersonal skills and the willingness to help others. In addition to this, they must share and display the Union’s core values which are: Inclusive, Approachable, Dynamic, Supportive and Transparent.
The Hours
This role is being offered on a permanent part-time basis working 20.00 hours per week. It will primarily be based at the Moulsecoomb Campus, with some travel to other campus locations as required. We are happy to consider a degree of hybrid working for the right applicant.
