Seeking Trustees To Help Us Make Student Life Better!
Brighton Students’ Union is a dynamic and inclusive charity that exists to Make Student Life Better for the 20,000 students studying at the University of Brighton. We do this through representation, campaigning, societies, social events and running commercial outlets.
This is a really exciting time to join us, as we mark our 100th year anniversary this year, open a new venue and research and create our new strategic plan.
We are seeking 2 external trustees to help us lead and guide our work. We are particularly looking for people who have experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Diversity and Inclusion
- Charity Law
You don’t need any previous experience of being a Trustee as full training will be given. You just need enthusiasm and to share our values of being Supportive, Transparent, Approachable, Dynamic and Inclusive.
We would really welcome applications from people from Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority backgrounds to more closely reflect the members we support.
You will be required to attend 6 meetings a year (during office hours). The role is unpaid, but out of pocket expenses are reimbursed, including childcare and additional support as required.
Much more information about the charity and the role can be found at www.brightonsu.com. Please feel free to get in touch with our CEO, Laura Greenwood-Pearsons to arrange an informal chat, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
