This month has seen the first two Societies passing the Developing Society Status in the new Society Accreditation Scheme! Youth Stop Aids completed it first, with LGBTQ+ hot on their heels!
Both Societies have achieved the Status thanks to all their fantastic efforts, inclusivity and a lot of hard work and are determined to continue moving on up through the Accreditation Scheme!
Youth Stop AIDs hosted a number of awareness events, attended training, collaborated with another Society and are already planning to raise money in RaG week!
The LGBTQ+ Society were at the Freshers Fair, promoted their succesful monthly events through the SU website and have created and updated their online Web page so everyone can find out about them!
A huge congratulations to them both and a number of Societies are close behind!
Hmm what is the Society Accreditation Scheme?
The Society Accreditation Scheme is a fantastic way to get the achievements of your Society recognised, recorded and rewarded! Getting on board with the scheme means that you’ll be officially recognised and involved with the University of Brighton Students’ Union and have access to fantastic support, training and funding!
