We had some amazing entries for October’s Society of the Month - Check out our very close runners up…

Our brand new DJ Society gave everyone the chance to be DJ’s! Expert tuition was available on how to get started as a DJ and how to use the  specialist equipment. 


Debating society welcomed the new term in with a competitive debate! Points were scored and topics where debated on a range of current issues and politics. This was then topped off with a few drinks on a society bar crawl.   


Drama Soc’s first weekly session gave the opportunity for everyone to get involved in not only acting and performing but also in the behind the scenes side of the theatre.  The society worked to perform dramatic scenes they played improvisation games and rounded the event off with a social in the local pub. 


The LGBTQ+ Society held not 1 but 2 welcome events! Making sure on both events that the new Fresher’s were introduced to the local area while demonstrating that Brighton has a great number of welcoming venues for LGBTQ+ people.  


South East Asian Society had an educational first meeting. The group learnt how to greet each other in several different languages! They then all had a dance, played some bingo and did some speed meeting to get to know each other better. 


Christian Union gave everyone the chance to showcase their talents in an Open Mic Night!  The society also welcomed an external speaker from Emmanuel Church who gave a talk tilted ‘Searching for purpose’. 


Ghanaian Soc presented new members with their plans for the year alongside some information about Ghana and Ghanaian culture. There was also the added bonus of pizza and party games!
