It’s time to welcome our new officer team for 2024/2025 to Brighton Students’ Union! 

Your officer team are here to represent the student body, campaign for better student life and to ensure your university experience is the best it can be. Each year the full-time officers are elected by the student body. They work as a team to lead the Students’ Union, and each have different areas of focus. 

Meet Osasu your Union President:

This will be Osasu’s second year as an officer at BSU. Osasu studied Computer Science at the University of Brighton. His favourite place on campus is Basement Central (the SU cafe on Moulsecoomb campus). 

Osasu’s role as Union President is to work in partnership with the officer team and be the direct contact between the university and the union. The Union President is part of many senior University committees and represents the student voice at the highest level. 

Meet Kenny your Activities Officer:

This is Kenny’s first year as a BSU officer. Kenny studied Biomedical Science at the University of Brighton. Kenny’s favourite place on campus is Basement Central. 

Kenny’s role is vital to support over 100 student-led societies at BSU, along with the many volunteering groups at Brighton, and our exciting free Give It A Go activity programme. He will also work closely with Sport Brighton to best represent the interests of all students.  

Meet David your Education Officer:

This is also David’s first year as a BSU officer. During his time at the University of Brighton, David studied Biomedical Science. David’s favourite place on campus is Watts’ Computer Room. 

David’s role as your Education Officer is focused on improving every student’s academic experience. This involves working closely with the University to implement improved academic processes, managing BSU’s course reps, and running various educational campaigns to meet all student group’s needs.  

Meet Favour your Communities Officer:

This is also Favour's second year as an officer at BSU. At the University of Brighton, Favour studied Biomedical Science. Favour’s favourite place on campus is the Book and Bean Cafe at Grand Parade.  

This year Favour takes on a brand-new officer role for BSU, the communities officer. The communities officer role is to support different communities within the student body. This includes representing diverse student communities at the University of Brighton, such as mature students, disabled students, LGBTQ+ students, and Black and ethnic minority students, in addition to postgraduate and international students.
