Hey everyone,
Jared here, once again. I’m applying once more for Anime Club Society President, this time for the academic year 2024/2025. I’ve been a society member for two years now, and President for one. I hope you have all been enjoying my presidency; I’ve loved getting to know you all and hosting events for you, and I couldn’t have asked for a more warm and lovely society to be a part of. If you choose to vote me in for another year, I promise you I won’t disappoint you. There will of course be more fan-favorite events like Presentation Night, Debate Night and the arts and crafts events, but going forward I want to make an active effort to try out bigger events like cosplay meets, karaoke and even potentially a private cinema screening. I really value and care about the input of society members, for I wouldn’t be able to do any of this without the participation of you all, and I want to ensure that you all get to have more of the lovely and fun experiences you’ve had previously. I also want to keep the safe, welcoming environment we’ve built, to make it easy for newcomers to join and be involved, as well as making sure people feel comfortable to be as true to themselves as they can be while in our lovely society. As mentioned last year, my previous experience running school events as part of the Student Council, as well as my work as a TA, make me a good fit for running a society, and I have a profound love of anime with hundreds of anime seen and hundreds of manga read. I want to continue my work making sure our society is fun, engaging and comfortable, with an easy and relaxed environment that people can join in for whatever, whenever. One of my favorite experiences so far in my life has been running this society for the past year, and being a part of this lovely community for my first two years of University, and while I will be busier than ever in my third year I swear I will still dedicate all the time I can to ensuring the society is as good as possible. I love doing this for all of you, and being with all of you, and if you vote for me I can promise you more of the same and even better to come.
