Come along to one of our culture sessions that involve different language table you want to practices and learn, there will also be some tea, coffee and snacks to grab and meet other language speakers and make friends.
Whether you are a fluent or beginner everyone is very welcome.
The Language Café are led by student’s leaders who will answer any questions and assist language learning. The Language Café is a great way to meet students from different cultural backgrounds and enhance your language skills. It will be an activities done by students for students. It is an activities that aim to break the isolation and stigma surrounding Mental Health that would involves mixture of people learning their differences and cultures, making friends and living in the moment and also a way to create an employability opportunity for students to volunteer and keep their CV going and stand out.
Language Café was set up this year by your Welfare Officer to help give and improve all students opportunities and to learn or practice new language while creating a social wellbeing environment setting.
There is no need to book or register, it is free and you can drop in at any time to any of the language café session.
Language Café runs on Tuesday in the following times. You can also get involve by applying to be a language volunteer. We are always open and looking out for more people to volunteer for us.
- City: 6pm - 7:30pm
- Eastbourne: 5:15pm - 6:45pm
- Falmer: 6pm - 7:30pm
- Moulsecoomb: 6:30pm - 8pm

Language Café was introduced this year by the students union to help enhance student experience and encourage peer to peer support as well as exchange language for students who needs and to create a social environment.
The volunteers help with coordinating and running all the sessions and helping student to improve their experience while at the University and to gain good skills of running and planning events and language learning. The students union are very open to more contributions and volunteering because your voice matters!
