The role has two aspects to it. The first is a Campus Organiser at Grand Parade, working as part of the wider Union in building strong and supportive student communities by providing a front line support service to students at a nominated campus. To support primarily the membership departments in delivering activities on campus and engage with students individually and collectively on a range of areas including societies, events, campaigns, health and wellbeing activities, representation and advocacy, etc.
The second is to support the Director of HR with the day to day line management of the Campus Team, acting as a Supervisor to other members of the team across all sites. To provide support, guidance and advice to the team on day to day matters and ensure that the service we provide to our students is consistent and in line with our core values.
Experience and Knolwedge
Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate their knowledge and experience of:-
- Organising, promoting & developing campaigns
- Planning, delivering and evaluating events and activities
- Organisational involvement in extracurricular activity/social/recreational activity
- Working in conjunction with and providing feedback to multiple internal and external groups
- Managing and maintaining good office systems
- Good understanding of GDPR and its effect on an organisation
An understanding of the current needs and expectations of students around student activities would be extremely beneficial.
Applicants must have the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with a diverse audience through different media channels, along with excellent organisational and IT skills. In addition to this, a high level of enthusiasm, self motivation is vital within this role as well as a commitment to provide an excellent service to our students.
